About this workshop
This online workshop is designed to support aged care home services providers in developing their knowledge, skills and practical understanding of monitoring and assessing their own performance. It considers home services specific risks to ensure services are delivered in line with the Aged Care Quality Standards.
This interactive workshop includes practical activities designed to help participants understand the principles of self-assessment and how these principles can apply to performance monitoring and review to deliver continuous improvement and beneficial consumer outcomes.
Please note: This workshop was revised in July 2022 to incorporate information on the key risk areas discussed in the Quality and Safety in Home Services – 5 Key Areas of Risk guidance resource published by the Commission in June 2022.

Audience
This workshop is for providers of aged care home services at the middle management level. This may include:
- coordinators
- service managers
- quality managers
- educators
- supervisors
- team leaders.
Participants are expected to have a sound knowledge and understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and their application.
