About this workshop
This online workshop complements the guidance and resources on the Serious Incident Response Scheme (SIRS) and the Effective IMS workshop and is specific to providers of residential aged care services.
This interactive workshop includes practical activities designed to help participants understand their role and responsibility to meet the requirements of the SIRS. It focuses on provider obligations and provides examples to understand reporting requirements and processes.
Please note: This is a condensed version of the full-day SIRS workshop, which was run between December 2021 and July 2022.

Audience
This workshop is for providers of aged care residential services at the middle management level. This may include:
- coordinators
- service managers
- quality managers
- educators
- supervisors
- team leaders.
Participants are expected to have a sound knowledge and understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and their application.
