About this workshop
This online workshop is an introductory session to help providers of aged care services to understand what the Aged Care Quality Standards (Quality Standards) are and how they apply to aged care.
The session has been developed to enable providers to understand how to deliver services in line with the Quality Standards.
Please note: this information session has been redeveloped based on the previous ‘Getting to know the Standards’ and ‘Preparing for the Standards’ workshops delivered by the Commission in 2019.
Through active participation in this workshop participants will be able to understand:
- understand the key concepts of the Quality Standards
- recognise how to apply the Quality Standards in everyday practice
- understand how to use and apply the guidance material to deliver services and monitor services which align with the Quality Standards
- introduce how the concepts of self-assessment, risk and continuous improvement align with the Quality Standards.
These information sessions are for employees of all levels within providers of aged care services, both home care and residential care. They've been developed based on feedback received from the sector and will be particularly relevant to anyone new to the sector or seeking an introductory overview of the Quality Standards.
