Our learning content is available on the Aged Care Learning Information Solution (Alis) website. You can use Alis on any internet-connected PC, laptop, tablet or phone. Alis isn’t compulsory.

Under the Aged Care Act 2024, registered providers are responsible for ensuring associated provider staff who work for them have the right training and skills to do their jobs well and understand their obligations. To support registered providers and associated providers, we have extended free access to our online learning platform, Alis, to all associated providers and their staff.

Before staff can join, providers and associated providers need to be registered in Alis. Complete the form below to register your interest in Alis. A member of our team will contact you with further information.

Alis Connect
Alis Connect is a newsletter for Alis cohort managers and learning and education managers. It gives you information about:
- Alis functions and capabilities
- cohort manager features
- content releases and changes
- platform updates
- Alis engagement opportunities.
Australian government-funded aged care providers, associated providers and workers
Costs
Access to Alis is free for Australian government-funded aged care providers, associated providers of aged care and services and their employees.
Learner registration
Once providers and associated providers have joined Alis, they can register their staff, or workers can register themselves. Workers who self-register need to link their accounts to their employers in Alis before they can access learning content.
To self-register:
- Go to the Alis home page
- Select the ‘Register’ button.
- Complete your user profile.
- Go to the ‘Find your organisation’ tile on the landing page.
- Select your organisation from the list or search bar.
- Select ‘request to join’ button.
Content sharing
Australian government-funded aged care providers and their associated providers can upload learning content from Alis to their own learning management system.
To access shared learning files, email education@agedcarequality.gov.au with:
- the name of your organisation
- the name, position and email of the person managing the learning content
- the name of your learning management system provider.
Learning files are only available in SCORM v1.2 format.
The person organising the content sharing for the provider must be registered in Alis.
Non Australian government-funded aged care providers and workers
Costs
Non Australian government-funded aged care providers and workers need to pay to use Alis. The cost depends on how many users the provider has.

Cost examples
For 1 year:
- 25 users will cost $750 ($30 per licence)
- 40 users will cost $1,110 ($30 for the first 25 users and $24 for the following 15 users)
- 100 users will cost $2,300 ($30 for the first 25 users, $24 for the following 25 users, and $19 for the remaining 50 users).
Individual learner registration
To create an account:
- Go to the Alis home page.
- Select the ‘Register’ button.
- Complete your user profile.
- Select a course to enrol in.
- Follow the prompt to pay for your account.
