Aged care services providing clinical care must use a clinical governance framework. This follows the Aged Care Quality Standards (Standard 8, 3e).
Clinical governance supports safe, quality clinical care and good outcomes. It does this through:
- leadership behaviours
- planning, monitoring and improvement mechanisms.
We've designed these resources to help understand clinical governance.
- Leadership and culture
- Partnerships with people who use aged care
- Organisational system
- Monitoring and reporting
- Effective workforce
- Communication and relationships.
