We’re offering a new education program to help registered providers improve the quality and safety of their food, nutrition and dining services. The education program will cover common and emerging issues affecting food and nutrition in aged care.
This program is educational; it’s not a regulatory activity. It’s part of our commitment to improve knowledge and capability in aged care. The targeted education can help providers to meet their obligations.
The first workshop focuses on eating, drinking and swallowing (EDS) difficulties. It covers:
- person-centred, rights-based care approaches
- evidence-based best practice to identify, manage and monitor EDS difficulties safely and effectively.
