Aged care laws in Australia have now changed. The new Aged Care Act 2024 and Aged Care Rules 2025 now apply. While we complete updating of our website, including draft guidance and other materials, to align with the new laws, providers are advised to refer to the new Act and Rules for any required clarification of their obligations and legal responsibilities. Commission Consultation Forum

The Commission Consultation Forum is an important part of our consultation and engagement process with the aged care sector. It's a valuable channel for two-way communication and feedback between key stakeholders and the Commission.

Forum members represent consumer, provider, worker and industry organisations.

Members

Membership is by invitation from the Commissioner. It includes the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing and national consumer and provider peak bodies.
