Aged care laws in Australia have now changed. The new Aged Care Act 2024 and Aged Care Rules 2025 now apply. While we complete updating of our website, including draft guidance and other materials, to align with the new laws, providers are advised to refer to the new Act and Rules for any required clarification of their obligations and legal responsibilities. Thank you for your patience.

Procurement reports

Contracts we enter into are available through the Senate Order Report on AusTender.

The Senate Order Report covers contracts valued at $100,000 or more (GST inclusive). It includes:

  • the contractor's name
  • the contract's value
  • a description of the contract
  • start and end dates of the Senate Order period
  • confidentiality provisions and reasons.

Confidentiality provisions

Some of the contracts in the Senate Order Report contain general confidentiality provisions. These protect the information of the parties.

The 2 reasons for these provisions are:

  1. protection of trade secrets and proprietary information
  2. protection of other Commonwealth material and personal information.
