The previous Aged Care Quality Standards were in effect between 1 July 2019 and 31 October 2025.
Strengthened Quality Standard 1 underpins the way providers and workers should treat older people.

Strengthened Quality Standard 6 is about working with older people to find out what they like to eat and drink.
Strengthened Quality Standard 7 acknowledges that when people move into a residential service, the new community becomes a central part of their lives.
