Aged care laws in Australia have now changed. The new Aged Care Act 2024 and Aged Care Rules 2025 now apply. On 1 October 2021, we launched the Serious Incident Response Scheme (SIRS) decision support tool to help you determine Priority 1 or Priority 2 reportable incidents.

The tool asks you a series of questions about an incident to help you decide whether it must be reported to the Commission.
