Star Ratings for residential services

Star Ratings apply to residential aged care services.

The Department of Health and Aged Care is responsible for the Quality Measures, Residents’ Experience and Staffing Minutes Rating sub-categories.

The Commission is responsible for the Compliance Rating sub-category of the Star Ratings system.

The Commission is responsible for the Compliance Rating sub-category of the Star Ratings system.

The system delivers a 5 star rating based on non-compliance decisions.

Following a non-compliance decision, the Commission monitors the provider's response, addressing their non-compliance.

Compliance Ratings are updated daily and will immediately impact a provider’s overall Star Rating.
