Serious risk decision

On 27 August 2018 a delegate of the CEO of the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency made a decision that failure by Paston Pty Ltd to meet one expected outcome in the Accreditation Standards in relation to Meredith House Nursing Home has placed the safety, health or wellbeing of care recipients of the service at serious risk.

A site audit was conducted by the Quality Agency on 18 December 2018 to 20 December 2018 at Meredith House Nursing Home to assess the performance of the service against the Accreditation Standards. The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission found the service complies with all Accreditation Standards.

Serious risk is not an ongoing state; it is a statutory decision based on evidence at a point in time.
