Aged care laws in Australia have now changed. The new Aged Care Act 2024 and Aged Care Rules 2025 now apply. An Exchange of Letters (EoL) between the Victoria Health Complaints Commission and the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission was finalised on 17 September 2025. The EoL promotes a commitment to working together and outlines each agency’s role, function, and the agreed arrangements to support information sharing.
