Serious risk decision

On 29 January 2018 a delegate of the CEO of the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency made a decision that Riviera Health Aged Care Pty Ltd failed to meet one or more expected outcomes in the Accreditation Standards in relation to Toukley Aged Care Facility and that this failure has placed, or may place, the safety, health or wellbeing of a care recipient of the service at serious risk.

The Department of Health has been notified of the risk.

The Quality Agency will continue to monitor the performance of the service including through unannounced visits.

Following an audit we decided that this home met 5 of the 44 expected outcomes of the Accreditation Standards. We have decided to revoke this home’s accreditation. Its accreditation will expire on 09 May 2018.
