Freedom of Information disclosure log

We make a range of information available to the public. We can give you specific information if you ask for it through a Freedom of Information request.

The Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI Act) and the Information Publication Scheme require us to publish this Freedom of Information (FOI) disclosure log, which lists the information we’ve given out in response to FOI requests. From the day we send the applicant the requested information, we have 10 working days to publish the request and the information in the disclosure log.

There is some information that we can give to the applicant, but don’t publish in the disclosure log, if we think it’s ‘unreasonable’ to make it available to the public. For example:

  • personal information
  • information about a person’s business, commercial, financial or professional affairs
  • information that the Australian Information Commissioner has determined shouldn’t be published
  • any other information, if we need to make a lot of changes to it to delete information we think is unreasonable to make public.

We remove information that we have attached or referred to in the disclosure log after 5 years, unless it has enduring public value (long-term, ongoing benefits for people).

If you would like us to provide this information in another format, please contact our Freedom of Information Officer at FOI@agedcarequality.gov.au. We aim to meet all reasonable requests as quickly as possible.

You can find more information about disclosure logs in the FOI guidance for government agencies on the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner website.
