Accreditation fees are payable for each residential aged care service. There is a flat fee for applications for a commencing or recommencing service. Application fees for re-accreditation of an accredited service or previously accredited service (excluding recommencing services) are based on the number of allocated places, whether occupied or not.
There is no GST payable.
We do not issue receipts or invoices for accreditation fees paid.

The Commission is continuing a 50% reduction in re-accreditation fees for services under the Australian National Aged Care Classification funding model (AN-ACC) using proxies to identify eligible services.
These include:
- Services categorised under the Modified Monash Model (MMM) as MMM 6 or MMM 7, regardless of the number of allocated places
- Services categorised as MMM 5 that have less than 40 allocated places, or services categorised as MMM 4 that have less than 30 allocated places
- Services approved as either specialised homeless or specialised Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residential services for AN-ACC funding purposes by the Department of Health and Aged Care.
Services continue to receive a discount of 50% where they have less than 25 places. This has not changed. If a service has less than 25 places and meets the eligibility criteria for the proxy method under AN-ACC, then they would not be required to pay a reaccreditation fee.
Please refer to the table below for application fees with discounts applied.

Cost Recovery Implementation Statement
The Commission will be publishing a Cost Recovery Implementation Statement about the cost recovery for audits of approved providers by July 2025, and will engage in public consultation during the 2023-24 and/or 2024-25 financial years as part of this process. Until this time, the fee schedule will remain as described in the section above Fees for accredited or previously accredited services (excluding recommencing services).
The CRIS will outline the arrangements by which approved providers will pay fees and charges for the cost accreditation of those services, including details of any fee waivers.
