Information Publication Scheme (IPS)

The Information Publication Scheme (IPS) is a Government-wide scheme promoting a proactive, pro-disclosure approach to publishing information. The scheme covers all Government agencies subject to the FOI Act. The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) oversees the scheme. For more details, please visit OAIC’s website for more information on the information publication scheme for Australian Government agencies.

The Commission’s IPS Plan outlines the information that we propose to publish for the purpose of the IPS, how and to whom we propose to publish that information. This is a requirement under section 8(2)(a) of the FOI Act.
