Memorandum of Understanding between the Commission and the Office of the Inspector-General of Aged Care

On Tuesday 23 April, the Acting Inspector-General of Aged Care, Ian Yates AM, and Aged Care Quality and Safety Commissioner, Janet Anderson PSM, signed an important Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

Signed in Adelaide at the Commission’s 2024 National Aged Care Provider Conference, the MoU between the Commission and the Office of the Inspector-General of Aged Care documents how the two organisations will share information and outlines a range of material considerations surrounding that information-sharing process.

This MoU will assist the Inspector-General of Aged Care to determine if the Commission is meeting its legislative requirements, the progress of recommendations from the Royal Commission and the Commission’s ability to effectively handle complaints.

More information about the MoU is available on the Commission’s website.
