Aged care laws in Australia have now changed. The new Aged Care Act 2024 and Aged Care Rules 2025 now apply. While we complete updating of our website, including draft guidance and other materials, to align with the new laws, providers are advised to refer to the new Act and Rules for any required clarification of their obligations and legal responsibilities. Thank you for your patience.

The Aged Care Code of Conduct – training PowerPoint is a presentation that trainers can download, customise and use to teach their aged care workers and responsible persons about the Aged Care Code of Conduct (Code).

The training resource:

  • offers an overview of the Code
  • supports an exploration of the requirements of the Code
  • is designed to support reflective discussions about the Code and how it applies in practice.

Note:

  • Before using the training resource, you should update slides 5 (and 6 if needed) to add information about how the Code aligns with your organisation’s values, mission, purpose, policies, processes and procedures.
  • The presentation contains video and links to resources on the Commission website, so the presenter should have internet access when facilitating.
